Does baby still get health benefits if you do both bf'ing and formula?
I've heard that the baby doesn't get the same benefits from breast milk if you also use formula for some feedings...has anyone heard this?? I don't see how it's true...our antiboies are still passing through our milk...also...does breastfeeding the first 6 weeks give my baby alot of protection? I wanted to breastfeed successfully, but I'm miserable.
the longer you are able to breastfeed the better it is for you and your baby. for every formula feeding you give that means one less breastfeed that the baby gets which does take away immunities that your baby would have gotten. also formula feeding generally causes stomach issues, extra gas and sometimes constipation which can then lead to a fussier baby.
